The concept for developing Optim i was conceived by Informatic Intelligence as a result of the requests from the users of the IBM i Power systems that were looking for delpoying the solutions from IBM Optim into their platfrom. Optim i not only allows IBM Optim to be implemented for large db2/400 databases, but it also provides full management and control from the IBM i Power environments.

On its first release Optim i was specifically desgined for the JDE World community, while the newest 2.2. version provides the mean to manage any system running on the IBM i Power platforms
